Dr. Chris Molda – When Detox Makes YOu Feel Worse: Zeolite, Bacteriophages & A Different Approach To Chronic ILlness
LISTEN, SUBSCRIBE, REVIEW
Episode Summary
In this episode, Leigh Ann welcomes Dr. Chris Molda for a conversation on chronic infection, detoxification, Lyme, mold, parasites, zeolite, bacteriophages, and what happens when even integrative protocols fail to move the needle. Dr. Molda shares his own experience becoming severely ill after a convergence of mold exposure, Lyme, parasites, and COVID, despite already having years of experience in functional medicine and access to many of the protocols he was trying himself. He explains why his own sensitivity eventually pushed him toward a simpler approach, beginning with high-dose zeolite as a binder intended to reduce toxic burden without asking an already overwhelmed body to do more work. Leigh Ann and Dr. Molda then explore bacteriophages and the signaling therapy he uses to target specific infections, along with his perspective on why this approach may create less collateral damage than broader antimicrobial strategies. They also discuss the emotional aftermath of chronic illness, the fear that can develop after years of severe reactions, and why removing an infection does not automatically resolve the nervous system patterns created while someone was sick.

Leigh Ann Lindsey (00:00.66)
Well, Doctor Molda, welcome to the Accrescent Podcast.
Dr. Chris Molda (00:04.233)
Thank you for having me. I’m I’m happy to be here.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (00:06.658)
So I always like to do a little research before and I know a bit of your personal health journey that got you to where you are today and some of the things you’re using in your practice. But for the audience who this is their first time getting introduced to you, tell us a little bit about yourself and kind of what got you to where you are today.
Dr. Chris Molda (00:24.563)
Sure. So, I mean, my own personal health journey has to do with me actually getting really sick. but I would say my health journey started before that because I I’ve been in practice for it’ll be 22 years now. It’ll be 22 years this month. And I’ve trained chiropractor, had a predominantly chiropractic office for the first decade, but then I had a lot of family members and patients get really sick with multiple conditions, whether it was mold or lime or
or GI issues like SIBO and CIFO. And so I was always looking for more, more tools. And my practice kind of transitioned into a concussion slash neurofeedback, biofeedback practice. At the same time I was doing a lot of functional, a lot of detox, looking at a lot of supplements and dietary shifts. and so I just decided to go down the functional route, not the not the neurology route, because I had to choose. It was a lot to do both in one practice, but just me.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (01:22.508)
Right, completely.
Dr. Chris Molda (01:24.707)
and so that’s kind of where my where where my training went and I and and that’s where my practice went. But then in I mean in December of twenty twenty one, all of these things happened around the same time. My office had a had had roof damage and there was black mold growing in my office and my landlord wouldn’t do anything about it. In fact, I didn’t pay him and he still wouldn’t do anything about it. I had the town come in and they could smell the mold and they’re yep.
And he’s like, I’m not gonna do anything about it. So I just had to leave. At the end of the day, I had to leave. So I had mold in my office. I had black mold in my house. I had about three months earlier gotten bit by a tick and tested negative for Lyme, but in hindsight, still had Lyme. I had an active parasite infection that I was dealing with, and I got COVID in December and was in bed for two weeks and couldn’t eat or drink anything, and it just kicked my butt and it was just
It it was that’s when everything started. That was like the final straw that broke the camel’s back. and that’s when my health just deteriorated very quickly and very significantly at that point.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (02:33.911)
Mm-hmm. And so you went on a journey to recover.
Dr. Chris Molda (02:37.799)
I went on a little journey. I I went on a little I went on a little journey for a very, very long time. And I had a very I would say a relatively unique perspective, not with what I was going through, but just being in being a doctor in the field and knowing all the protocols and knowing all the people who create the protocols. and so I had a lot of support that just didn’t help. Like nothing helped.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (03:04.022)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (03:05.951)
And you know, the short of it is is that I tried everything and I would have good days, bad days, good bad days, bad days, but it was trending in a downward, in a downward direction. And so I just kind of stopped everything, got super frustrated. I was working one day a week. Like I could not my wife had to start her own business at this point because we have two little kids and I couldn’t work more than a day. so she had a she had to start her own business and like I just had to shove everything and I’m like, I gotta figure this out.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (03:27.767)
Wow, yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (03:35.166)
My body can’t handle all these protocols anyway because it’s crashing. So I just had it been like, let’s do it one one thing at a time and it’s gonna help me or it’s not, and we’re gonna move on real quick. And my patients was very thin. This is three years into this. like when I say sick, I mean like I would wake up and have to think about getting out of bed for 10 minutes. Like, no energy. I was sitting on the couch with my daughter. She just got up and walked away.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (03:46.157)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (03:57.078)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (04:03.433)
And I was like, wow, I’m never gonna be able to do that again. I can’t I can’t even imagine just getting up and walking away. so it was pretty bad. I could very I couldn’t do anything. My my like my body was on fire, my nervous system was on fire, right? I know you’re familiar with all of like just like the the you know the you know the the body and the emotion and just being sick for so long and what that does to people and it was doing it all to me on top of all the other infections I had.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (04:09.037)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (04:28.502)
yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (04:32.839)
And so I very quickly was just moving through things. And if it didn’t help in a week, I was moving on from it. And, you know, that’s kind of what got me to where where I am today, where I’m in practice again, I’m thriving, figure kind of figured a majority of what was going on with me and and was able to to get my health back and just kind of live my life again and and be the person I was before I was sick.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (04:59.253)
Yeah. Well, I’m so excited about some of the areas we’re gonna get into today because, you know, having the podcast, also being a part of a medical facility, an integrative medical facility, I know a lot of what’s out there. And these are some things I’ve never heard of. It’s completely new to me. So I’ll know I know it’ll be new to some of the audience too. But what I wanna go back to for a second is something I think you’re hitting on that we see a lot of people experiencing, which is
It’s particularly devastating when, first of all, when you go to conventional medicine and it falls short. So then you trans, you know, a lot of people will transition to more integrative, functional. And for a lot of people that helps. But if you transition over and you do all the protocols and you do all the things and you’re still sick, it is devastating because you feel like you’ve you feel like you have used all the resources available in the world.
Dr. Chris Molda (05:47.571)
Yeah, you you despair.
Dr. Chris Molda (05:53.043)
Yeah. Yep.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (05:54.485)
And what I sometimes remind patients when they if if they get to that point in our work, you know, with some of their other protocols they’re doing is first of all, we’re in an amazing time where like a new modality gets invented every year. So there’s we’re never gonna run out of things to try. But and two of those things I think are things that we’re gonna get to talk about. But I wanted to highlight that for a second because I think it’s extra, extra devastating when they come over to integrative medicine.
Dr. Chris Molda (06:07.655)
Yeah. That’s right.
Dr. Chris Molda (06:13.871)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (06:21.91)
And they still feel like they can’t heal.
Dr. Chris Molda (06:25.107)
Yeah. And I see that a lot too. I mean th those are the questions I get regularly. You know, at this point in my career I really don’t I don’t see really easy cases. I see very complicated people, people who were like me, to be honest with you. and it is depressing, it is demoralizing, it is it’s hard not to be Eeyore and be like, Whoa is me, why is all this happening to me? And and it’s really hard to get out of your own way.
And you know, I mean I’ll be completely transparent. It’s like getting rid of the infections was a big part of it, but it it was probably just as hard to move past the mindset of not being sick anymore and doing things that aren’t going to feel like like I had to learn to mow the lawn again because I would just I would just take the lawnmower and mow and my my immune system was so on fire my
I was sensitive to everything. I would get an asthma attack and have an anxiety attack just from mowing just that. And I’d have to ice and calm down and stuff. And that doesn’t happen anymore. But it didn’t mean that I didn’t have to believe it wasn’t gonna happen anymore, you know what I mean?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (07:39.695)
Well, completely. And we I we promise we won’t spend the whole time talking about emotions because I could all day. But but I mean, there really genuinely is some PTSD when you’ve been in a chronic illness or cancer. And that is a lot of what I’m working with patients on is being able to, you know, start to have the courage to try things again.
Dr. Chris Molda (07:45.639)
What?
Dr. Chris Molda (07:51.371)
yeah. Yeah.
Mm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (08:02.374)
And not let the the limiting beliefs that plagued you while you were in that experience like continue to keep you small and be able to expand. And it’s so scary when you’ve had such severe reactions for such a long time to be able to start to rebuild the trust with your body and your capacity.
Dr. Chris Molda (08:09.598)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (08:19.805)
Yeah, and absolutely. And I do talk I honestly I talk this is not this is not my expertise, this is yours, but it’s still the reality of the situation that I can help people eliminate chronic infection in their body, and some of them still my symptoms are still here. Do you know what I mean? and so that’s why I like to talk about it and I I that’s why I wanted to start talking because I know your background, I wanted to at least acknowledge that, that all of the things that you know we’re about to talk about were.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (08:38.402)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (08:50.419)
But there’s still that percentage of patients that I have that you see all the time that, hey, there there’s other things holding you back besides that infection.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (08:58.83)
Completely. And I think that’s what we’re all here to solve is like what what are the contributing factors? And it’s like there can be physiological contributing factors and then you know the mental, emotional, spiritual contributing factors. So being able to make sure we’re we’ve got a team that is addressing all of those. So yes. So you you tried a lot of things and also knowing a little bit of your story.
Dr. Chris Molda (09:03.998)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (09:11.483)
Absolutely. Absolutely.
Dr. Chris Molda (09:17.905)
Yeah, absolutely.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (09:23.872)
were also incredibly sensitive, which is also something we see a lot with patients, is they can’t even do some of the protocols because they’re so sensitive. They can’t even take some of the supplements that might be really good for them because they’re so sensitive. And so I I mean I might like to hear some of the things you did try just for the audience, even though I know some of them, just so they can kind of know, yeah, I’ve done some of those things too. And yeah, they didn’t necessarily work for me either. And then we might get into how did you discover the
Dr. Chris Molda (09:43.839)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (09:50.377)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (09:54.051)
the zeolite and the phages component, and then we’re gonna go super, super deep into those.
Dr. Chris Molda (09:58.464)
Sure, absolutely. So I will say this. I was in the functional space for a very long time, for almost ten years before I got sick. And I I’m a chiropractor, and really basic chiropractic philosophy is just the body wants to heal itself. You have to eliminate what’s stopping it, right? And in chiropractic we talk about
traumas, physical traumas, emotional traumas, and toxins. And it’s gonna usually be one of those three things. And that’s just really oversimplifying healthcare, right? but really that’s kind of just that underlying belief of how can I help you? Can I help you with a physical trauma and an emotional trauma or toxic trauma? And I always love the idea of let’s just eliminate that trauma or let’s what once once you deal with that trauma, and I’m sure you see this all the time emotionally, it’s like once somebody deals with it, it’s like
The dam opens up and all of a sudden they heal and it’s like it’s like this fall off a cliff. And same with chiropractic with physical traumas. I was always looking for that with the toxins. And I never and I was like, it’s gotta be similar to all of these other things. But there’s not really protocols or treatments that have the same effect as as the trauma, as the physical or the emotional trauma. And so I always had that in the back of my head. And then when I got sick, like all of these very complex protocols.
I mean, it could have been a fungal protocol, a mold a mold detox protocol, a heavy metal protocol, kidney support and liver support, lymph support. try and think of I mean all of the modalities from HBOT, which is hyperbaric oxygen to P E F to cold laser, you name it, I was doing it or I knew about it and and tried it on me. And I was that sensitive person who couldn’t tolerate anything.
at all. I became that patient, I should say. just like my mother-in-law, who was the the my mother-in-law was my first patient who drove me on this journey. Super sensitive to everything. So that’s why I started to just do one thing at a time because what I felt physically was that all of these protocols were trying to push my body towards something that it didn’t want to go. And I really wanted to work with my body.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (11:52.396)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (11:59.022)
Hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (12:14.488)
Mm.
Dr. Chris Molda (12:18.579)
to heal. And so that was kind of the that was the the impetus to just very quickly moving through these protocols. And if I was sensitive to it, then it wasn’t meant for me and I was moving on. And I’d already kind of had it in my head that I didn’t want to force my patients to go through something miserable to get to the other side because I didn’t like I didn’t think that that had to happen. Like that just didn’t make sense to me. And so I wasn’t willing to do that for me. And so I was very quickly moving through things.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (12:30.198)
Wow, okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (12:42.318)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (12:48.263)
And so to to your point, what I eventually landed on after years of just, you know, researching my by myself, having colleagues who were like, Hey, try this, this is different. You know, this way of detoxing is is a lot easier and it’s kind of more in con congruent with what we believe. it wasn’t until I found those things that I wasn’t reacting to them.
They were actually making me feel better. I could physically feel the stress leaving my body. And it happened in a very, very short period of time without any negative reactions. And I was like, okay, I feel like I’m on the right path though. And that’s what kind of started that journey, which I was sick. I was very, I was not like gung-ho, let’s try whatever. I was sick. I I was like months of, I’ll think about it. You know, I’ll think about it.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (13:43.755)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Well, right, because you you also start to experience this this despair of I’ve tried so many things. And then sometimes if they make you feel so sick, then you’re out and down even worse than you were before. So you then also start to sometimes develop a fear of even trying new things because my God, what is this gonna do to me? So completely.
Dr. Chris Molda (13:47.815)
Dr. Chris Molda (14:07.367)
Absolutely. Absolutely real. Like I said, the thing that actually helped took me probably three to six months of my my friend, my colleague, just constantly saying, Have you tried that yet? No, not yet. I will. so so yeah, and and the the I would say this, the nicest thing was is what I was looking for was something that was easy slash simple to do.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (14:19.384)
Yeah. Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (14:35.374)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (14:37.565)
I just kind of have this belief that solutions and truth tend to be simpler than people make it out to be. And everything in healthcare is so complicated, either either by design or or by accident, but things tend to be super complicated. And I I was doing those complicated protocols. I’d have people, you know, buy 10 different supplements and cycle on and off from them. And you have to do this one away from medication and this one away from food, and you can’t, you know.
Like I was doing all of that stuff and it felt like a lot as a healthy doctor, but then when I got sick, there was no way I was doing that stuff.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (15:12.672)
Yeah. my God. I mean the capacity just to be able to do the protocol that’s gonna help you heal. It’s like it’s like this awful catch twenty two you get stuck in of to be able to heal, I need energy. But to be able to get the energy to do the protocol, I need to heal it, you know. So yes.
Dr. Chris Molda (15:27.677)
Yeah. Yeah. So I’ll I’ll I’ll talk a little bit about it now and I’m gonna talk about them one at a time and and I’ll talk about the first one I found. The first one I found was really simply it was zeolite. And for people who don’t know what zeolite is, zeolite is a binder and it’s a true binder. And the reason why I call it a true binder is because as a binder it essentially grabs toxins that are in your body and it holds onto them and it never lets them go.
And that’s what a binder supposed to do. A true binder never gets metabolized, meaning it never gets broken down. It’s like if you were to eat a rock and the rock was gonna move through you. When it came out, it would still be a rock. zeolite is volcanic ash, and so it’ll grab a toxin and it’ll just pull it out. And when I started to use just this one detox product, just this one, and I used it at a higher dose than I’d ever done before. And and the dose really mattered.
When I started to use it as a really high dose, what happened was that my body didn’t react to it, so it didn’t matter how sensitive I was. But what it did is it started to bind to all of the inflammatory toxins in my body. And the more I took, the more toxins it bind to. And it’s gonna buy it was it binds to the toxins that I make, but also the toxins that I get exposed to.
So it’s not gonna bind to the lime or to the mold, but it will bind to the to the mycotoxins, it will bind to the to the to the biological products of lime, it’ll bind to ammonia, it’ll bind to, you know, hydrogen sulfide gas or
Methane gas, which is a big problem for SIBO people or GI people. So it’ll bind to all of these byproducts that we make, but it’ll also bind to heavy metals and all these other things. and essentially all it did was it just started to lower the inflammation and it allowed my body to feel safe. And for the first time in years, I could go, okay. Okay. You know?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (17:32.216)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (17:36.52)
And it didn’t like if if I felt this good, it actually didn’t make me feel better. That’s not what this did. What it did is if this was my floor and my worst day, it made my worst day here. You know? And essentially the idea is just this. If you use a true binder line Zeolite and you take a bunch of it.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (17:48.418)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (17:58.558)
And you start binding up the toxins that are inside of you that are creating inflammation, and your body does go, whoo, I feel good. It’s gonna start dumping a whole bunch of other toxins and releasing other toxins that it’s been holding on to and waiting to let go of. Right? Now it’s safe. That’s right. Everything that I’m gonna talk about makes your body feel safe and it allows you to heal faster, right? And so when your body feels safe, you release a whole bunch of other toxins.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (18:13.996)
Right, because now it’s safe.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (18:22.262)
Hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (18:27.379)
But if you don’t have enough binder in you to grab that second release, then you’re gonna do what everybody feels. And that’s like, I did this detox and I felt like junk and it made me feel bad. And I had this, I had this detox reaction. And what a lot of practitioners say, which is true, is that, well, that means it’s working, right? It’s binding to things. But the reality is, is that if you just go higher up in the amount of binder you give somebody,
Leigh Ann Lindsey (18:45.326)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (18:54.739)
They start to feel good and they start to feel real good. And it doesn’t matter how sensitive you are to supplements because you cannot break it down, you cannot interact with it.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (19:05.368)
Hmm. So t come do let’s do a little comparison of Zeolite versus some of the other binders because you’re calling it a true binder. That’s a new, even a new term to me. I think the concept of binders, the audience will be really familiar with. And there’s there’s so many we could throw out there, right? Like pectisol, activated charcoal, you know, chlorella.
Dr. Chris Molda (19:10.345)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (19:14.079)
Right.
Dr. Chris Molda (19:20.884)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (19:25.215)
I would say so of those three, charcoal I would say is a true binder. The biggest difference the other pectasol and chlorella, you’re gonna you’re gonna metabolize them at some point. And so if they grab a toxin, it’s gonna eventually let it go. So it really comes down to how fast are your bowels moving, right? You know, and because they’re fibers and and other things like that. And so your body can break them down, they’re not coming out whole.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (19:33.421)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (19:53.832)
So there I I would call those detox support, not a true binder. That’s why I call it a true binder, right?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (19:58.232)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, yeah. I mean, I think that’s so interesting to me. So but can you explain that a little bit more about how it it might let it go? Some of these other I guess
Dr. Chris Molda (20:09.683)
Well, you’re breaking it yeah. I mean, like pectisol or or or pectin, I mean, that’s a fiber. I mean, your body can break fiber down. It’s gonna break some of it down, maybe not all of it, but some of it. And so if it’s if it’s grabbing a toxin and moving through your body, and then you essentially cleave a piece of that off, like it’s gonna let go of whatever it grabbed onto and it can potentially allow for redistribution. Right. So that means that it’s like I found this toxin in your liver and we’re gonna bring it down and then
Leigh Ann Lindsey (20:16.195)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (20:37.821)
You break it down in your small intestines and boom, half of that gets released in your small intestines. Now you’ve moved from your liver to somewhere else.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (20:42.487)
No, no, no.
Okay, tell me if this is the correct analogy, because this is what I’m picturing in my head. It’s almost like a binder is like a box or a basket that like wraps around a toxin. And if the box stays intact all the way through, the toxin gets removed. But if the box breaks at some point, whatever’s in the box gets released. Okay, so what happens is if we’re taking binders that the body can actually physically break down, it’s basically digesting that binder, which is
Dr. Chris Molda (21:02.163)
Mm-hmm.
Correct.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (21:13.848)
taking the box apart and then re-releasing the toxin. Okay, that’s fascinating.
Dr. Chris Molda (21:16.905)
Correct. Correct. Yeah. Yeah. So a lot of people, a lot of these supplements out there will have different types of binders in them. They’ll have activated charcoal, they’ll have bentonite clay, they’ll have a little bit of zeolite. there’s a lot of reasons why they do that. Some of them are again true binders and you can’t break it down and and some of them you can eventually break down, but they do help you detox better.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (21:26.485)
Right.
Dr. Chris Molda (21:41.374)
And what I would say with Zeolite, the most you there there’s two unique things about zeolite, but the most unique thing about zeolite is that it is an intelligent binder. And what I mean by that is that you can actually take it with supplements or food. Because the way it binds is it binds, it has a charge to it. So think of a magnet, right? And so it’s essentially a magnet pulling these toxic substances, which are
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:00.833)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (22:09.571)
more strongly opposite to it. Okay. So it’s more attracted to toxins than it is, we’ll say, to magnesium or to iodine or to iron or anything like that. So it doesn’t want to bind to those. It wants to bind to mercury. It wants to bind to ammonia. It wants to bind to mold. And so if it’s whole if it if you take it with like a magnesium supplement and it binds to magnesium, it will let that sucker go and it will grab something else that’s more important.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:11.843)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:26.498)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:36.139)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (22:36.275)
Whereas with bentonite clay and with activated charcoal they’re not intelligent. And those are the ones where you gotta say, take it like two hours away from food and supplements and medication. Because it’s just gonna bind to whatever’s closest to it.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:45.859)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:49.792)
Right, right. And then you’re like try it and then it just adds that complication to it. Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (22:55.271)
Yeah. Yeah, because then all of a sudden you become deficient. And the more deficient you get, the more you affect your neurotransmitters, which is gonna affect you know, then you’re talking about serotonin, dopamine, catecholamines, all these other things. You start to get mood disorders, you get angry, all of a sudden you get skin issues because you’re deficient, you get all these other symptoms just from these deficiencies. And so it’s it’s really difficult. You’re trying to really like really thread that needle, right? Like when you’re using these other binders, you’re really trying to thread that needle.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (22:58.702)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (23:24.305)
of feeling better, but not bad while you’re feeling better. and the cool thing was is that ZLike kinda solved all those problems for me. yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (23:28.472)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (23:34.038)
Yeah. And so is that the only binder you use now?
Dr. Chris Molda (23:39.232)
it is the only binder, and this is the other thing about zeolite that I like. It’s really easy to get high doses of it. It’s really easy. Sure. So if anybody’s ever gotten like a little liquid ampule of a of like a binder like that has zeolite in it, they’re usually talking about like 150 micrograms or milligrams or something like that. Usually we’re talking about grams.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (23:45.294)
Okay, so let’s talk about the high dose. What are we tal what are we talking about here with a high dose?
Dr. Chris Molda (24:05.887)
We’re talking like anywhere between five and sixty grams.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (24:10.584)
Five to sixty. wow. Okay. Wow. And how I mean, how are they ingesting that? Is it like capsules or are you doing powder? I know I’ve taken Zeolite as a powder before and I mean it was kind of nasty because I had to mix it up in liquid.
Dr. Chris Molda (24:12.255)
Sixty six zero, yes.
Dr. Chris Molda (24:25.471)
It is a powder and it’s it’s not I’ve been taking it for years now. and so it’s grown on me like I like taking it because I know how it makes me feel. But it was tough at first, not gonna lie. And it’s not that it’s bitter or anything, it’s just chalk. I mean it’s it’s like ground it’s gre so it’s it’s it’s it’s it’s lava, essentially it it’s lava, and it’s just ground up, and so that’s kind of what it tastes like. but you can you can put it in whatever you want, you know.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (24:36.278)
Yeah. Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (24:54.781)
You can mix it in a smoothie, you can put it in water, you can because it’s again, it’s not gonna bind to those things, it’s gonna bind to the toxins inside of you, right? so and because it’s from volcanic ash, it’s stable at high temperatures. So realistically, you could bake it in cookies.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (24:56.75)
okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (25:02.689)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (25:12.615)
Yeah. Little little zeolite volcano cookie. Little lava cookie.
Dr. Chris Molda (25:16.349)
Yes, you could. So I mean, if you have kids, they’re like, it’s a lot I mean, it you gotta make sure you get the right dose in each cookie or each brownie or something like that. But yeah, I mean you can you can hide it as a dessert if you wanted to for your kids.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (25:25.996)
Right, right, right.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (25:30.19)
And so are you though, are you starting people out on the smallest dose, seeing how they tolerate it, and then working up?
Dr. Chris Molda (25:39.248)
Actually no. And the reason is because it’s the opposite of other supplements, right? So with other supplements with somebody sensitive, you actually start super low and you’re like, did you react to that? Okay. And and honestly, the reason I do that is for the obvious reason that you would know is like emotionally I want them to have a good experience and not associate this supplement with a bad experience, right? so you start low and you work your way up.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (25:40.642)
Okay.
Dr. Chris Molda (26:05.555)
But with zeolite, you’re more likely to have a reaction at a low dose than a high dose. And yeah, there’s no negative reaction the higher you go. Like if you were to take 150 grams all at once, worst case scenario is you’re just full of it and you bind up toxins, and then the rest of it’s just kind of floating around, not really grabbing anything because there’s nothing to grab, and then
Leigh Ann Lindsey (26:11.534)
Interesting.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (26:16.142)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (26:32.194)
Uh-huh.
Dr. Chris Molda (26:32.905)
Then you just excrete it, right? Like that’s the worst case scenario. When you take a low dose, most of my patients are sensitive. My mother, I’ll talk about my mother and what I do all the time. She’s super sensitive. And so I said, You gotta take, you gotta take 30 grams. And she’s like, I’m super sensitive. I’m like, explaining it to her. I’m like, you you’ll be more sensitive on a low dose than a high dose. You’ve got to take 30 grams. Okay, Chris. So she left.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (26:43.586)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (27:00.479)
Call her up a couple days later. How you doing? She’s I I took it and I felt really bad. Really? How much did you take? I just took like five grams. It’s like, okay. Well, you’ve been off it for a couple days. Can you just do me a favor and take 30 grams for me, please? She’s like, I feel really bad. I’m like, you just do this once, we’ll never do it again if you don’t like it. She did it. And then I called her up a couple days later. I was like, How are you doing? She’s like, I’m doing fine. Why?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (27:07.884)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (27:15.448)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (27:26.067)
I’m like, because I wanted to know if you were reacting to it. And she’s like, no, actually I haven’t reacted to it. And so I understand the trepidation personally, which is why I constantly encourage people that you can go higher safely and not worry about.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (27:26.104)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (27:42.367)
Mm. Mm-hmm. Does this go back to what we were saying earlier where you actually want the higher dose because you’re binding up you’re binding up the initial toxins that are there ready to grab and then we’re which is then allowing the body to kind of dump more toxins. And so you want that extra zeolite there ready to mop up that almost like second wave.
Dr. Chris Molda (28:02.887)
Yeah, absolutely. That cause that’s what it’s doing. It’s waiting to grab something, right? Sub supplements, medications, homeopathic remedies, when you take them, you metabolize them and they push you in a direction. They tell your body, do this, do that. Right? And so that’s why people who are super sensitive, who are just like at their wit’s end and their body’s in the state of crisis, they take any this is why they’re sensitive, because they’ll take something.
And that medication supplement or or remedy will be like, now do this. Right?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (28:35.284)
Right. And their body’s like, dude, I’m tapped out. Don’t ask me to do anything.
Dr. Chris Molda (28:39.699)
That’s like asking a favor of your friend who has eight kids. Like, what are you doing? Like, they already have enough in their life going on. Don’t ask them for help. Yeah. So that that’s why I don’t do high doses with medic medica with medic with supplements or remedies, but I do do high doses with binders.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (28:43.34)
Yeah. huh.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (28:49.122)
Yeah.
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (29:03.104)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (29:03.299)
because all it’s gonna do is take things away from you. All it’s gonna do to that person with eight kids is basically say, hey, here let me take care of that kid for you. Here, let me take care of that kid for you. That’s the equivalent to what a high dose true binder like Zeolite will do.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (29:13.558)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (29:19.348)
Yeah. Now I know I’m asking hyper specific questions, but and that large, large dose, are you breaking it up multiple times a day? Or is that just like once once a day?
Dr. Chris Molda (29:30.365)
That is a good question. To start, I always just do one dose. And the reason I do one dose is because people are toxic. You know, sick people are very toxic. You’re sick because you have you have something inside of you making a lot of toxins that’s deplete that are depleting you of all of these vital nutrients. And you’re toxic from all of that stuff. And so we want to
Leigh Ann Lindsey (29:34.68)
Okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (29:38.999)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (29:57.758)
We want to bind all of that up and have enough for that. we wanna we wanna make sure we have enough for all of it, essentially is what I’m saying. there are times further on in care where it makes sense to break it up over the day, but when you’re beginning, your body wants to get rid of those toxins. It’s been waiting to get rid of those toxins. And that’s why we just do it all at once, because I expect to see a bunch of stuff coming out.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (30:11.726)
Mm. Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (30:16.694)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (30:26.867)
Just like if you have a clag sink and you start wiggling it, like it’s gonna start coming out pretty fast and a bunch of stuff is gonna come out at first. And so we just wanna make sure that you feel good while we’re doing this, to be blunt, that it’s not a horrific experience, that it’s actually the kind of experience you expect when you heal, and that’s like, I I feel better.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (30:45.034)
Yeah, yeah. that’s so fascinating. I’m I’m excited. Okay, now d introduce us to the second piece that you discovered.
Dr. Chris Molda (30:52.167)
Yeah. So the second that’s the second piece that I found is much more unique. And the second the second thing that I found that I discovered that I learned about, I shouldn’t say discovered, I learned about in 2021 was called phages or bacteriophages, is what most people are familiar with, the term most people are familiar with. And so I just want to preface I want to start this conversation by explaining what a phage is to you and your listeners. and I’m gonna do it I’m just gonna do it in a really simple way. There’s two things.
That you need to understand. One is that there are good bacteria and there are bad bacteria, right?
There are good viruses and there are bad viruses. Same thing. The good viruses are phages, bacteriophages. They’re good viruses. Okay? So that’s the foundational thing that we just have to start with: is that there are such things as good phages. And this isn’t brand new. This has been around, I think, I don’t know, 70s, maybe even, when they were when they were talking about phages. So none of this is really new.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (31:53.774)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (31:54.764)
but essentially, this is how phages work. people have 30 trillion cells. We are made up of 30 trillion cells. We’re made up of 40 trillion bacteria, which is why we love talking about the microbiome and how it influences everything, right? we actually are 375 trillion viruses. Okay?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (32:19.894)
Wow, my gosh.
Dr. Chris Molda (32:21.703)
So all of our bacteria has viruses with it. Good ones, mostly good ones, almost all good ones. Some of them we don’t know what they do. And then there’s like a handful of bad ones, like the cold, right, and flu and things like that. but we are a lot of virus. So viruses aren’t the big evil thing that we thought they were.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (32:39.885)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (32:40.267)
and so when you get an infection, and I’m just gonna take Lyme as an example. When you get infected with Lyme and the borrelia bacteria, which is what it’s called, when borrelia comes and gets inside of you, it brings with it borreliophages. Okay? Now I’m calling them borreliophages because the phages that we’re gonna talk about, and the majority of phages that I know of, are what are called monovalent.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (32:58.52)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (33:09.467)
Mono obviously means one. So monovalent means that that borrelia phage only interacts with borrelia. It will not interact with anything else. So when it comes inside of you, that phage isn’t interacting with you. It’s not interacting with E. coli, it’s not interacting with strep, it’s not interacting with the lactobacillus. It’s interacting with nothing except for that borrelia. And it’s just kind of living in harmony, swimming with it like the fish around a big shark or a
Leigh Ann Lindsey (33:17.718)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (33:38.676)
Just kind their part of its ecosystem. And what phages can do, which was kind of cool that I learned, is that phages can actually attack their host, which is the in this situation, it’s the barrelia. And they can kind of turn around and start to attack it and kill it. And it’s monovalent, which means it’s not going to attack or kill anything else, just that.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (33:38.946)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (33:58.989)
Hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (34:05.346)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (34:05.757)
And then when it’s done killing it, it’s just programmed to do one thing and that’s find more borrelia and kill that. And then when you run out of borrelia and there’s no more infection and you still got these ferritphages, they kind of just sit there for a couple days and die and then just leave. Okay?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (34:20.544)
Mm-hmm. Okay. I keep going. I’m so excited. I have more questions, but keep going.
Dr. Chris Molda (34:25.939)
Okay. So that that’s kind of the cool part about the specificity, meaning they are laser focused on that infection and nothing else. So you don’t get that you don’t get that effect when I’ve done this. I mean I’ve personally done this, and I’m sure a lot of patients out there, people have done too, is where like you take an herbal killer or you take like some sort of killing thing and you feel awful. And the reason predominantly you feel awful is because the infection is really good at hiding and you start killing good guys. And when you kill good guys, that’s when you feel bad. Some of it’s die off.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (34:31.125)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (34:51.01)
Hmm.
Hm.
Dr. Chris Molda (34:56.231)
Some of it is die-off. And but I would say predominantly the reason why people feel better when they kill and then crash is because you’ve killed too many of the good guys and not enough of the bad guys, and you’ve lowered your defensives and now they thrive. And they’re like, look, we have more room to play and we can actually thrive more in this person. So you don’t get any of that good guy killing with this, which is great. You’re just going to kill that one infection and that’s it. Okay. The other thing that’s cool.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (35:14.551)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (35:19.063)
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (35:24.957)
Is that when the phages kind of flip a switch and they start killing that infection, they kill in a very unique way, which is quick and complete. And if you were to look under a microscope at a phage killing, it would be a puff of smoke and nothing’s left. And it just poof and gone. And honestly, it’s so complete that I think they call it dust. They don’t even call it particles. And without getting too technical.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (35:42.702)
It’s like Harry Potter vibe, just poof, gone.
Dr. Chris Molda (35:53.748)
When you use herbal killers or antibiotics to kill a bacteria, it’s a relatively slow process. That bacteria sends out an SOS and it starts to dump a bunch of toxins into the environment because it because it feels itself being attacked. And those toxins are why you feel bad, and that’s a Hurts reaction. But this happens so fast and so complete that you don’t get that.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (36:05.784)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (36:17.751)
Okay, wow.
Dr. Chris Molda (36:19.337)
So you don’t get those Herx reactions, you don’t get any of those toxins released as you kill this way. And so you can do it fast, you can do it specifically, and you can do it without collateral damage or toxin release. And so I’d heard about this. So fascinating. I’d heard about this when I got sick. And I was like, this is the coolest thing in the world. And there were a couple of supplement companies that that had supplements.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (36:27.616)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (36:37.346)
That’s fascinating.
Dr. Chris Molda (36:48.787)
For targeting bacteriophages. I actually don’t understand how those supplements work, to be honest with you. Knowing how phages work, I’m like, I don’t understand how this works, but you say it works, so let’s try it. And I got some pretty good results with like E. coli for pay for people who have E. coli overgrowth or for salmonella, but just these individual targeted overgrowths for people. And so I’d also done a lot of research and found this doctor who was doing a lot of research in his clinic and
Leigh Ann Lindsey (36:57.816)
Uh-huh.
Dr. Chris Molda (37:17.137)
and kind of came up with this process to not just target one infection, but to target multiple infections at the same time. And when that became I got an email from him like for I contacted him in like when I got sick in twenty twenty one and like in like la early last year,
Leigh Ann Lindsey (37:27.256)
Hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (37:40.51)
I got an email from them saying, Hey, we just we came out with our thing. Did you want to try it? And I was like, Yeah, I do. I’m really sick now. and it did exactly what I thought it would do and what I wanted it to do. it did everything I thought it would. And the cool thing is is that the it targets like
Leigh Ann Lindsey (37:47.277)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (37:59.422)
The four it’s there’s there’s like ten different formulas and the formulas target the most common infections based on your symptoms essentially, right? So it has like a respiratory formula where, hey, do you struggle with eyes, ears, nose, throat, lung, you know, kind of cold and flu like symptoms? These are the most likely infections. We’re gonna target these types of infections and let’s, you know.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (38:07.052)
Okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (38:16.216)
Mm.
Dr. Chris Molda (38:19.835)
and let’s see how you go. and so you can kind of walk with people who have Lyme or mold or parasites or fungal infections or GI infections or UTIs, and really target, you know, anywhere between 20 and 150 different infections all at the same time.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (38:38.316)
Because it has the phages for all of those different pathogens in
Dr. Chris Molda (38:43.461)
No, you have the phages f in you already because they came in with the infection. We don’t need to get Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (38:51.084)
Okay, so this is what I was gonna ask is if they’re coming in with the infection, why aren’t they attacking the bacteria?
Dr. Chris Molda (38:58.269)
Because there’s two different states for these phages. It’s lysis and lytic. And lysis is just living in harmony. And it’s just the normal lifestyle, life cycle, not lifestyle, life cycle of a phage to kind of eat a little bit of it and then just kind of be there and let it recover and like it’s just that natural kind of in harmony with it. Yeah, homeostasis, thank you. and so essentially what we’re able to do is induce
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:03.864)
Okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:18.68)
Homeostasis. Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (39:28.327)
a change in that phase to go from living in harmony to attacking. And you do it in really basic simple terms with a signal.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:30.964)
Okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:38.648)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (39:40.24)
and so you just the signals embedded in it’s not water, but I’m just gonna say it’s water because it’s clear and tasteless, it doesn’t have a taste to it, a little bile of cleared liquid. and the signals are just embedded in that, and you just drink it. It’s about this much, it’s tasteless, really easy, and it lasts for 12 hours, and those phages will attack their host that we’re signaling to kill the infections if there are any.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:48.194)
Yeah yeah yeah
Leigh Ann Lindsey (39:56.589)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (40:09.51)
Wow, my gosh. This is blowing my mind. So it’s it’s kind of a type of
energy medicine. Is that fair to say? I was gonna say homeopathy and I was like, it’s not quite that ’cause homeopathy is the essence of something reduced down so many times, but I guess in in a sense it’s energy medicine still.
Dr. Chris Molda (40:18.685)
You were gonna say homeopathy, right?
Dr. Chris Molda (40:27.199)
It’s it’s very similar to homeopathy, and I will say this. The difference between homeopathy and this is the target. When you take a homeopathic remedy, it’s interacting with you and getting you to do something different. The the inducin, which is what it’s called, when you take the inducin remedy.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (40:40.43)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (40:45.437)
It’s like a dog whistle to you. You can’t hear it. It’s only tuned to those phases. And so it’s doing to the phases what homeopathy does to you, which is trying to get you to change, trying to get you to do something different. And so, but it’s not home. The doctor who developed it did a lot of homeopathy, and I think that’s kind of where he got the idea from. and so
Leigh Ann Lindsey (40:48.512)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (40:57.869)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (41:07.011)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (41:10.705)
It’s similar but different in that way. And that’s why, again, this is the other thing I did. By the way, these were the two things that I did that helped me get my life back. It didn’t really take that much more. In terms of the the the physical, the toxic stuff. Still had to work on the emotions, still had to work on the PTSD. I mean, I was sick for years, like that took time too. This was easy compared to that. Let’s be honest.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (41:34.444)
Completely right. Completely. I know.
Dr. Chris Molda (41:37.78)
But yeah, this is this is what it took. And this kind of fell into that category for me of I think the truth is simple. I think that if there’s an infection and you get rid of it, the body wants to heal. you just gotta kind of give it what it needs to heal. Sometimes that’s time, sometimes that’s space, sometimes that’s other nutrition, sometimes that’s other supplements to support the healing process.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (41:50.198)
Mm.
Dr. Chris Molda (42:02.173)
But this was the boulder that I couldn’t get out. This was the or get could get from underneath. You know, these were the splinters that nothing would get and I couldn’t pull these splinters out of me that all of a sudden I could. and that was that was the cool part of this, is is that I could feel the change in hours. I could feel the change within days.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (42:12.93)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (42:24.871)
And so that’s kind of why I stuck with it and and why I share it with other people and why I talk about it everywhere because it’s the thing that nothing else could do that got me to where I am.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (42:34.304)
Yeah. Yeah. Well, and to your point, removing the toxins or pathogens is a massive, massive piece of the puzzle. But yeah, then then it might be and now we need to repair damage that those toxins did to the body, restock nutrients that these toxins depleted. So it’s
It is a piece of the puzzle, but sometimes it is, to your point, the boulder that is blocking them from being able to get to all of those other paths that they need to walk. And so when we can move that boulder out of the way, they now have access to the next phase.
Dr. Chris Molda (43:11.741)
Yeah. a a hundred percent. And you know, it’s like when you’re a practitioner and and you’ve walked the walk, like you have your way of doing it because you know that this helped me and so it’s gonna help other people. And so like I work with a lot of practitioners, I I actually train a lot of practitioners on this. And the way I do this is is because my toxicity load, because my infection load was so high.
None of the other stuff really worked, didn’t really touch it. It did at first, but then it stopped working. So I always start with this. I’m like, let’s let’s reduce inflammation, let’s reduce infection, and see how your body responds. Then we can start to deal with because it’s gonna become obvious all of a sudden. Because when it’s gonna become obvious that you have a deficiency, that you know you have this kind you have this damage done to your liver or to your kidneys or to your immune system.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (43:39.085)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (44:03.187)
You know, that you’re stuck in this fight or flight and you need neurofeedback, biofeedback, you know, talk therapy. You need some like it becomes very, very obvious once you eliminate the well, you’ve got Lyme, so I don’t know, is this Lyme or is it something else? But if you can eliminate Lyme out of the equation and see what happens, you get a lot of cool things to happen. But the reason I was telling you this is because I have one of my friends, one of my colleagues.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (44:20.462)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (44:27.847)
She she does a lot of she does amino acid therapy, works with of people with anxiety, depression, that kind of thing. and she’ll do that first. And then she’ll transition to the infections, right? Because she wants to stabilize their neurotransmitters, she wants them to to feel better, and so she she’ll do that at first. There’s another another colleague I work with, she works with a lot of pans, pandas, autistic kids. And so she’ll do some what I would call basic nutritional stuff to start.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (44:37.133)
Yeah.
huh.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (44:46.36)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (44:56.499)
Because you can get really good results with with a lot of basic nutritional stuff. And then she’ll transition them into the infections part. but there’s all these components to healing. And this is just that very unique part. You know, I still do all the dietary stuff. I still most of my patients fast. I I I do a lot of fasting with patients to to reset their microbiome. I still do amino acid therapy, I mean I still do all these other things, but
Leigh Ann Lindsey (45:04.067)
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (45:26.941)
I like to get rid of the infection first because I wanna see what happens. Like what what will happen if we just get rid of the infection?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (45:33.335)
Yeah, yeah, completely. I mean, it’s everyone is so different. And it’s funny because sometimes I’ll get doctors who send patients to me because they’re like, we have hit a plateau in their physical healing and we know it’s because there’s an emotional component that needs to be addressed. And vice versa. It it doesn’t happen as much, but on occasion I’ll get a patient who comes to me kind of of their own accord and I’m like, your physiology is so hijacked.
We gotta go get that under control first, then come back to me and we’ll do some of this work. That doesn’t happen as often as the reverse, but yeah, that’s it completely. So I do want to understand a little bit of when they’re using these the phages. I guess they’re not taking phages, they’re taking an inducing agent or an inducing remedy.
Dr. Chris Molda (46:07.359)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (46:20.287)
That’s right. They’re taking they’re they’re it’s not classified as a supplement or a medication or anything, because essentially it’s si it’s a s it’s a signaling molecule, is technically what it is. So it’s almost like a therapy, is what what it is. I mean, I I would classify it more like a therapy than anything else. so when they’re take but you can just say when they’re taking the inducin.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (46:34.604)
Okay.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (46:38.39)
Okay. Okay. When they’re taking the inducing, what does that look like? Is that something they’re they’re taking home and doing? Is that something they have to do with you in office? You said it lasts for twelve hours. So are is that something they’re doing then twice a day to make sure it’s always getting activated?
Dr. Chris Molda (46:47.775)
Mm.
Dr. Chris Molda (46:55.047)
Yeah. So those are awesome questions. I’ll start with the last and work with my way back. they do take it every twelve hours. And the reason why they take it every twelve hours is we don’t want to let up. We don’t want to stop killing. You know, if if you can kill efficiently without collateral damage, you don’t want to stop until you’re done. Do you know because why would you? You know, because the second you let let up, they’re going to start to defend themselves very well. And even though
Leigh Ann Lindsey (47:15.842)
Mm. Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (47:25.161)
Phages are very efficient, even though they’re very hard to defend against. I know a lot of people worry about biofilms. Phasias ignore biofilms. They don’t care. You can have as many biofilms as you want. They’re just gonna ignore it and kill the infection inside the biofilm. So you don’t have to do any of those complicated biofilm busters or different protocols. You just get right to the infection and kill it inside of its defenses. And so we don’t want to stop.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (47:41.507)
Hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (47:52.588)
Yeah, yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (47:52.88)
to let to to let the to to let them regroup. I actually closed my brick and mortar. I don’t have an office anymore. I closed it in January because I were virtually because everything we’ve talked about people can do at home.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (47:56.845)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (48:04.652)
Yeah.
Mm. Amazing. Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (48:10.333)
Yeah. here I’ll show you real quick ’cause I got it right here. Cause you asked. This is what it looks like.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (48:22.391)
Okay.
Dr. Chris Molda (48:23.359)
Okay, so you open it up.
That’s what it is.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (48:30.762)
yeah, it’s just i for the listener who can’t see this, it it almost looks like a itty bitty tiny little like you know, those little alcohol bottles you can buy at the store, the mini ones, but even like a a a quarter of that size.
Dr. Chris Molda (48:38.109)
Yes.
Dr. Chris Molda (48:41.501)
Yeah, yeah. It’s it’s it’s very, very small. It’s just a little vial that has enough of a signal a signal and signal amplifiers in it, that that’s all you really need to get the ball rolling and to start addressing these infections.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (48:57.312)
Mm-hmm. Yeah. And then I I know this is unique to everyone. And also if I ask a question that we don’t need to get into, we can just fly right by it. But how so then how long typically are people on these signaling inducing therapies?
Dr. Chris Molda (49:13.213)
Yeah. So I mean I guess I would ask you this. which which are you more familiar with? Lyme, mold, parasites, all the above? So usually when somebody has lime, how long is their typical
Leigh Ann Lindsey (49:21.728)
All of the above.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (49:28.04)
I mean a year.
Dr. Chris Molda (49:31.025)
A year. So I’m gonna give you the statistics for the average person, okay? The average person will have 90% eradication of the targeted infections in about two weeks. That’s what the that’s what the research that he did over five years showed.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (49:35.49)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (49:44.834)
Are you serious? my gosh.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (49:52.798)
Wow. my gosh. Okay. Great.
Dr. Chris Molda (49:56.082)
Yeah, I mean there are exceptions, but those exceptions usually mean thirty days. So yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (50:01.431)
Okay. And and then how are you testing? And I also know that’s unique to ev that’s like there’s all these different tests for each different kind of thing. Are you checking in with like a blood test or a bioenergetic testing of some kind?
Dr. Chris Molda (50:10.761)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (50:16.295)
Yeah, not bioenergetic, because there aren’t I’ve been in practice long enough and I’ve seen them all. They’re not really consistent enough. You know, I mean if you’ve ever had these and you do it on you and then you do it like ten minutes later, it’s different. And it’s kind of like so I don’t I would never use those to diagnose anybody. I would use those to understand the stress that they’re under because you get really good value out of it, but for these I wouldn’t use that.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (50:21.742)
They’re not super quantitative. Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (50:40.012)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (50:45.329)
I can do blood tests. I you know, there are there are some good there’s you know, if I do Lyme, if if somebody has Lyme and they wanna do a Lyme test, I I actually do through Vibrant America, there’s also in Genics. They’re gonna look at either PCR or
They’re either gonna look it for DNA or RNA floating in your blood, or they’re gonna look for antibodies, right? so I’ll I’ll do those and I’ll I’ll use those. but to be honest with you, there aren’t great tests out there. There just aren’t. You know, if somebody if somebody does a mold test and it’s a urine test and you see mold in your urine, well that’s great. I mean, we know that there’s mold in your house or in your environment that you’re peeing out, but it doesn’t tell us what kind of effect it’s having on you, you know.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (51:05.27)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (51:13.581)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (51:29.208)
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (51:30.119)
Is it something that’s actually burdening you, or is it something your body’s actually excreting and fine with and there’s something else burdening you, right? So I will say this. I’ve been in practice for like I said, twenty-two years now. And this is the coolest thing I’ve ever done because it’s just being a doctor. It is literally just listening to somebody’s story and asking really good questions about when did that start and what happened at that time.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (51:59.48)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (52:00.18)
And they’ll tell you that people just tell you everything. Like it’s crazy. Right? They tell you exactly what their problem is. They just can’t see it or understand it. And so nine times out of ten, when I’m just talking with somebody, they’ll say, Yeah, like five years ago I started to get sick. I like, Well, what happened five years ago? Well, we had this really bad mold thing in my house, but we cleaned it up and you know, it’s been fine. I was like, Well, have have you recovered from them? Do you like you feel like you’re not really? So then, like, that’s better than any mold test you’re ever gonna get from somebody, do you know?
Leigh Ann Lindsey (52:03.66)
Yeah. Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (52:25.09)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (52:29.08)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (52:30.539)
I wish there was a test that could tell me what is the primary infection that’s affecting their life and what’s the number two. Well, do you know what I mean? But there’s no such test out there. And so this this technology is so cool, and it’s so effective, and it still requires me to be a doctor and me to be a human being and listen to people and and walk with them as we figure this out.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (52:39.128)
Totally. Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (52:55.978)
Mm-hmm. Now I’m gonna ask a really potentially dumb question, but I know, I know if I’m thinking it, other people will be thinking it too, which is you said there’s like different categories of the product or the therapy where it’s like respiratory focused or this. And there’s a part of me that’s like, well, why not just take them all? Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (53:05.415)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (53:11.295)
Yes.
Dr. Chris Molda (53:17.747)
Right. You don’t think I had the same question. I was like, why are there different formulas? and the reason is is because there’s only so much the body can do. Even though we’re technically interacting with phages, there’s still this kind of bell curve of, hey, bang for your buck. And at some point, if you ask the body to do too much, you’re just gonna be okay at everything and not great at anything. And so I think that that’s why there’s all these different formulas out there. I mean, I think the thought behind
Leigh Ann Lindsey (53:33.741)
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (53:47.252)
Your question is is like, well, couldn’t you just take them all and be okay? Yeah, you a hundred percent could just take them all and be okay because if you don’t have the infection, it’s not gonna do anything. And if you have the infection, you’re gonna find out real quickly because you’re gonna feel the shift. Like if you didn’t know you had sta I’ll give you just this really weird symptom that people don’t actually know about. If you have a lot of staph infections, one of the symptoms that you didn’t know was a staph infection was this kind of thing by your nose where you would
Leigh Ann Lindsey (53:51.414)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (54:01.504)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (54:16.393)
People with staph infections get like scabs and they think they’re like dried buggers or something, but they always have kind of this pain or this itch or like a pimple all the time on the inside of their nose. usually that’s just a staph infection.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (54:26.495)
wow, yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (54:30.776)
Wow, okay.
Dr. Chris Molda (54:32.199)
Yeah, if it’s persistent and it’s scabby and you’re just kind of always like this, you know, there’s a good chance it’s a staph infection. And if you do a formula and you didn’t know you had a staph infection, and you start and and you start activating those phages to kill staph, that’s just gonna go away on its own. And you’re gonna become aware of it at some point. so a lot of times people didn’t realize they had these infections because things
Leigh Ann Lindsey (54:36.6)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (54:52.376)
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Dr. Chris Molda (55:01.385)
just insidiously go. I just had a 22 year old girl I was talking with and she did we had to do she had she was she’s she was sick. I’m gonna say was. I’ve been working with her for like three weeks now. she had GI issues, fungal overgrowth like white tongue, you know, s fungus growing everywhere. she tested positive for Lyme, she’s tested positive for parasites. she definitely she had walking pneumonia
Leigh Ann Lindsey (55:29.262)
Mm.
Dr. Chris Molda (55:29.725)
Whenever she got around anybody with COVID or who was shedding, she would get deathly ill. she had no energy, was she was taking naps, she kind of get out of college because she couldn’t stay awake. her skin was broken out everywhere, just you know, just this 22-year-old who wasn’t living her life. And she’s 22 years old. And so, like ten days into this, she’s like, You didn’t tell me my skin was gonna
Leigh Ann Lindsey (55:46.861)
Yeah.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (55:55.391)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (55:56.384)
That’s like what she cared about. Meanwhile, she’s not sleeping anymore. She she had a move while she was sick and we were doing this and she was able to move and move things and she didn’t crash and all of these things got better. And sh but we didn’t know her skin was gonna get better, but it did, you know? and so it’s kind of cool these these things just happening insidiously. But to your point is is that what I try to do is I try to start with the biggest burdens based on their symptoms because that’s the most obvious place to start. Right.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (56:10.541)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (56:23.491)
Yeah.
Dr. Chris Molda (56:24.639)
So if somebody comes to me and says, you know, I’ve got a lot of respiratory issues, I’ve struggled with asthma and allergies my whole life, I’m not gonna do the Lyme formula because I they might not have Lyme and I don’t want them wasting their time or money on something that they don’t.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (56:34.574)
Mm-hmm.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (56:38.55)
Mm-hmm. Yeah, I love it. My gosh. Well, Dr. Molda, this has been so fascinating. I can’t wait to go do some a deep dive research even beyond this, because it’s I’m really lit up and excited about it. For the audience, how can if how can they learn more? If they want to work with you, what does that look like?
Dr. Chris Molda (56:57.523)
Yeah, so my website is really simple. It’s just drmolda.com. You can go on there. I think, well, I don’t know what links are on there. Somebody else is working on that. I’m not. but we do have a lot of social media. You can find me just about anywhere as Dr. Chris Molda, whether that’s YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok. We just we have a lot of videos on there kind of answering common questions and just talking about the therapies and the symptoms. and then if you think you have Lyme or you don’t know and you’ve been sick for a while.
We do have a website called Lime Made Simple. So it’s LimeMadeSimple.com. And if you go there, you should be able to get 38 question a 38 question questionnaire that will tell you how likely is it that you’re dealing with Lyme. Because Lyme is considered the great mimicker and people get a lot of false negatives like I did with Lyme.
And so you you end up seeing a lot of patterns and you can you can make really educated, not even guesses, you can make really educated decisions based on these patterns that I’ve seen, you know, over my entire career and and help people make better decisions based on on these kind of questionnaires and stuff.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (58:16.224)
Yeah. I love it. I think I think on your website there was a pretty straightforward button that just says like book a consultation or something like that. So it wasn’t it wasn’t too complicated.
Dr. Chris Molda (58:23.165)
Yeah, no, it was. You’re right. You know, I I should have said that. I mean, on the website it’s booked that we right now we’re doing free fifteen minute consults. So if you schedule something, you’ll get to talk to me for fifteen minutes and you can ask me some questions and I’ll see if we can help and if it’s a good fit.
Leigh Ann Lindsey (58:35.82)
Yeah. That’s amazing. I love it. Well, thank you so much. That that was such a good time.
Dr. Chris Molda (58:42.996)
Yeah, I appreciated the conversation. It was fun.
